How it Works

The Best Places to Work in PA program aims to identify, celebrate, and highlight exemplary employment environments across the state. To qualify for consideration, a company must meet specific criteria: it must be a publicly or privately held business, a for-profit or not-for-profit entity, or a government organization. Additionally, the company must have a physical presence in Pennsylvania, employ at least 15 full- or part-time workers in the state, and have been in operation for a minimum of one year.

The Criteria

The Best Companies Group oversees the entire registration and survey process, meticulously analyzing the data to establish the final rankings. The evaluation consists of two critical components. The first component assesses each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, and demographics, accounting for approximately 25% of the overall evaluation. The second and more significant component is an employee survey that gauges the employee experience, comprising 75% of the total score. These combined scores are pivotal in determining the leading companies and establishing the final rankings.
