Process Control Network Engineer

This is a hands-on Network Engineer who began her time addressing basic tech issues before transitioning into a network engineer role. She is responsible for managing the manufacturing network, primarily configuring Cisco switches and working with fiber installers. Her role involves designing and setting up new network layouts, configuring VLANs, and ensuring all switches are properly connected. In addition to network management, she oversees the virtual environment using vSphere, monitors the network for issues, and manages daily and monthly backups. She also scripts with PowerShell to automate data transfers from manufacturing computers to servers. While firewall configurations are handled by a separate team, 70% of her time is focused on configuring Cisco switches and adding routing as needed.
